Several images from her 3D Famiy Ghost Stories are currently on exhibtion at the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, included in the State of Mind show that runs through June 6th. Besides her fine art work, Claudia works as a wedding and family photographer in her native Los Angeles.
My father passed away in May, 2007. I became the custodian of his stereo photographs of our family. Combing through them, bit by bit, I selected out ones that struck me, images that made me remember exactly that moment. It was a remarkable experience. I remembered what my thoughts were, what my clothes felt like, how it smelled to be there, the air.

By mixing these images with some of mine, and then making them three dimensional, I am collaborating with the ghost of my father. Together we are creating personal, familial mythical tales.

When I was a young child, I wondered what the future held. Now at the age of 55, I am looking back on the road this life has taken......completing this circle of wonder.

My mother suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for the last 23 years of her life.
She passed away in June, 2009. It is to her “memory” that I dedicate this work.
