Christine Caldwell
Christine Caldwell graduated from Art Center in 1995 and has been continuously working as a darkroom technician for the past 14 years, “mastering the intricacies of both color and B/W printing.” She is also a commercial photographer, contributing images to a long roster of publications and a fine art photographer, exhibiting on a regular basis.
Christine realized that she could continue her fine art passion while spending long hours running a darkroom, by creating “Illuminated Negatives”, in other words, color photograms. The photograms are later scanned (as they are unique prints) and printed as inkjet prints. Some of these images recently honored in American Photo Magazine’s Images of the Year, in the Nature Category.
